Hi-this is going to sound odd, but I have a postcard we found in my house addressed to Miss Anna Kelley in Bayard Nebraska. It appears to be from c. 1900. I suppose it's not the same Anna Kelley before her marriage?

Erica, I really don't know. Anna was married to Mr. Kelley before Thos. Bressman so it could be her. Is there a message on the postcard? With more clues we might be able to figure it out. What county is Bayard in? Is Bayard near Omaha or Bellevue? thanks for posting!

Here's a little more info: It's from Anna's sister Carrie and is addressed to Miss Anna Kelley c/o B B Kelley. Bayard is near Scottsbluff in the panhandle. I'm guessing it's not the same Anna Kelley. I just did a google search for Anna Kelley and Nebraska and found your blog so I thought it was worth a shot. Thanks!

Thanks, Erica. Unfortunately, I don't know enough about Anna Kelley to know if your Anna is this Anna. I'm thinking it's not. Kelley was Anna's married name; her maiden name was Miller. In 1900, Anna would have been Anna Miller as she was only 7 or 8 years old then. Thanks for getting in touch with me!

Oh, Erica, sorry, my math is wrong. Anna would have been 17 or 18 in 1900, not 7 or 8. Anna probably was a Kelley by 1900 as I believe her first son was born in 1900. Sorry about the incorrect info.

Corrinne,
Anna's sisters were Rose and Mary. She also had 5 brothers Joseph, Frank, John, James and Henry. I am from that side of the family.
