Mrs. G. Kelly of Ruby Valley Succumbs Here
Mrs. George Kelly, 76, resident of Elko County since childhood, passed away at the Elko General hospital Saturday evening following a long illness.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Burns Funeral Home and will be announced at a later date, according to a mortuary spokesman.

Mrs. Kelly at one time owned the Cave Creek ranch but sold it to the government for the game refuge. At that time she was married to Lou Benson. However, after his death in 1930, she married George Kelly, and had lived in or near Wells until her death.

She came to this county from Omaha, Neb., at the age of 13. She worked for Norman Wines when she first arrived in the county. Later, she helped her father run a Wells Fargo freight line from Wells through Ruby Valley.

She is survived by her husband, George, who was last heard of in Los Angeles.
