Mrs. George Kelly Funeral Is Held

ELKO, May 20--Funeral services for Mrs. George Kelly, 76, resident of Elko county since childhood were held Thursday at 2 p.m. from the Burns chapel. Burial was in the family plot in the city cemetery.

Mrs. Kelly passed away at the Elko General hospital Saturday evening following a long illness.

She at one time owned the Cave Creek ranch but sold it to the government for the game refuge. At that time she was married to Lou Benson. After his death in 190 (sic), she married George Kelly, and had lived in or near Wells until her death.

She came to this county from Omaha, Neb., at the age of 13. She She (sic) worked for Norman Wines when she first arrived. Later, she helped her father run a Wells Fargo freight line form Wells through Ruby Valley.

She is survived by her husband, George, who was last heard of in Los Angeles.
