Tony Seider

Tony Seider of 508 East Edwards street, died at St. Anthony hospital yesterday morning at 4 o’clock as the result of a fracture of the skull suffered Wednesday morning at the plant of the Mechanic’s Machine company, when an emery wheel at which he was working burst and a fragment struck him with terrific force in the head.

He was twenty-two years of age and had been employed at the Mechanics’ Machine company since July 5, coming here from Chicago. A brother arrived in Rockford yesterday to take the body to Chicago as soon as the inquest has been held.

N.B. This article and others that will be posted use the surname Seidar, not Letukas. I do not know if Antanas changed his name to Seidar or if the reporter took down an incorrect name. It is clear that this accident is referring to Antanas Letukas based on the info it contains and the correlation of the same with Antanas' death certificate.
